Meet The Aurous Team
We do not rely on underwriting expertise alone; our risk partners have worked at various points of the (re)insurance distribution chain throughout their careers. This breadth of knowledge allows Aurous to ensure that the level of service provided to our clients, brokers and capital providers is optimised every step of the way.
Over two decades Carl has been a key driver behind noteworthy transformations across several insurance and broking companies. He was appointed as strategic advisor to the Amlin Group Board, which included a period as interim Chief Operating Officer of Amlin. He was highly influential in the re-engineering of Amlin to become one of the leading markets in London. Similar high impact outcomes were facilitated for Hardy, Lloyds Japan and AON.
After a four year period as strategic advisor to BMS Group (Minova Insurance) he was appointed as the Group CEO. During his tenure the business was transformed into an expansive mid-tier broker which included the creation of a highly impressive multi-centered US platform. He also was instrumental to the introduction and build-out of Pioneer Underwriting, as part of his vision to create a unique intermediary.
Over the past three years he has been working as an advisor to various Private Equity companies who were seeking entry into the insurance sector.
